An important part of the collection was the challenge to maintain the brands heritage aesthetic whilst utilising new functional technologies and incorporating the increasing minimalist sport trends.  This waterproof 80/20 down feather insulated puffa used a new welding technique on the baffle bags which meant that the waterproof Hyvent® fabric quality was not compromised by stitching.  Knit rib storm cuffs, borg collar facing and drawcord at the hem help to seal out the cold and insulate with a focus on not just function but the wearers comfort as well.

With a strategy that spanned the all product, a focused on internals with investment in new detailing was key.  Development of new qualitative lining fabrications and trims made the product stand out.  This included a new yarn dye cotton check (above) and new Primaloft® quilted combination (left) to add not only colour and texture within each individual product, but creating a prominent 'red thread' throughout the collection.

Leather is a strong category for Timberland, however, it has previously been 'biker' orientated.  The introduction of this new quilted leather shape for the more premium customer brought the aesthetic more in line with the brands heritage. 

A great projects was to reinvent the classic wool duffle coat. The challenge was to make it stand out from our competitors and the best way for Timberland do that is with technology.   Hyvent® waterproof technology is used throughout the collection, however, never before on the wool product.  With this we were able to make a fully waterproof wool duffle coat and combined with herringbone pattern quilted Primaloft® insulation this duffle definitely holds its own in the market.
